This Privacy Policy describes how Raven File Manager ("the App"), developed by J7SOFTWARE, handles information when you use our Android application.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is transparent about what data is collected, why, and how it is used.

Information We Collect

The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. However, the App uses third-party services that may collect certain information:

Google AdMob — displays advertisements and may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

The App requests access to your device's file system solely to provide file management functionality. Files on your device are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted.

Permissions Used

READ / WRITE External Storage — required to browse, copy, move, and manage files on your device.
Manage All Files (Android 11+) — required to access all files on the device for full file manager functionality.
Internet — required for loading advertisements via Google AdMob.
AD_ID — used by Google AdMob to serve relevant advertisements.

Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display interstitial advertisements. AdMob may use your Advertising ID and other information to provide personalized ads.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Data Storage & Security

The App stores only minimal preferences locally on your device (such as language choice, sort order, and display settings) using Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.

No user accounts, passwords, or personal information are collected or stored by the App.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
